Education Advancement Program
Our Education Advancement Program (EAP) supports Primary 7 graduates in continuing their education beyond primary school by providing scholarships for secondary school, vocational training, and higher education. Scholarships cover up to 70% of tuition and are paired with mentoring and social-emotional support to help students succeed throughout their educational journey. Scholarships are renewable through secondary school and may continue into vocational or university studies for students who demonstrate strong academic performance, commitment, and financial need. In addition to tuition support, many students receive essential items such as uniforms, books, school supplies, mattresses, blankets, and transportation.
During school term breaks, EAP students participate in leadership development, health education, life skills training, and career readiness workshops on The SOUP campus, while receiving ongoing counseling and mentoring throughout the year. As students progress into vocational institutions and universities, the program continues to provide guidance and encouragement to help them successfully navigate the next stages of their education and prepare for meaningful employment and leadership.
EAP Scholars also give back to The SOUP School and the surrounding community through volunteer service opportunities, including teaching English, conducting community needs assessments, and leading health and environmental education sessions. They serve as ambassadors for The African SOUP, inspiring younger students and demonstrating the transformative impact of continued education from secondary school through higher education.
